Gajapati District Court recruitment process encompasses several vital roles crucial to the functioning of the judicial system, specifically targeting the posts of Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Junior Typist, and Stenographer Grade-III. Each of these positions plays a significant role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of court operations, from documentation and record-keeping to assisting in court proceedings.

Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist

The Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist is responsible for maintaining court records, copying legal documents, and assisting in clerical duties. Candidates must have passed at least 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board and possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office. The pay scale for this position ranges from Rs.19,900/- to Rs.63,200/- (Level-4 of the Pay Matrix). In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as per state government rules. However, it should be noted that the final compensation might be subject to changes pending the outcome of WP(C) No.1273 of 2014 in the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa.

Junior Typist

The role of a Junior Typist involves typing legal documents, maintaining records, and providing administrative support. Applicants need to have completed 10+2 education and must demonstrate typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute. Familiarity with office software is also essential. This position offers a pay scale similar to the Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, ranging from Rs.19,900/- to Rs.63,200/- (Level-4 of the Pay Matrix), along with applicable DA and other allowances. The pay structure is also subject to the ongoing legal proceedings in WP(C) No.1273 of 2014.

Stenographer Grade-III

The Stenographer Grade-III is tasked with transcribing court proceedings, managing shorthand typing, and performing other clerical duties. Candidates should have completed 10+2 or its equivalent and must possess a minimum shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and a typing speed of 40 words per minute. The pay scale for this position is higher, ranging from Rs.25,500/- to Rs.81,100/- (Level-7 of the Pay Matrix), inclusive of DA and other allowances as per state regulations. Similar to the other positions, the final pay may be adjusted based on the resolution of the ongoing WP(C) No.1273 of 2014 case.

  • Applications along with the required documents and self-attested copies of certificates duly signed by the candidates shall be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post so as to reach the Office of the District Judge, Gajapati, Paralakhemundi, At/P.O.: Paralakhemundi, District: Gajapati, PIN: 761200, by 14.06.2024 positively. The candidates may also drop their applications in the box meant for it in the office of the District & Sessions Judge, Gajapati, Paralakhemundi during the office hour and within the prescribed date.
