The MoES invites applications for Junior Research Fellow Program (MRFP) to be coordinated by Development of Skilled Manpower in Earth System Sciences (DESK-ESSC), at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. MRFP is Ministry\u2019s dedicated JRF\/SRF program in which eligible fellows will be selected through a nation-wide selection processes and subsequent interviews. Selection will be against each of the advertised positions as below. Selected fellows initially will undergo induction training at IITM (of four months duration) and will be sent to the respective MoES organizations as given in the advertisement. Selected candidates are required to complete Ph.D. in relevant fields by registering to a university as per the norms of the respective MoES organization where the fellow will be engaged in research. MRFP fellows will be provided with a two-year JRF and two-year SRF fellowship as per the DST guidelines and will undergo the
stipulated evaluation processes therein.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Total no. of vacancies are 30. The stream-wise vacancies may vary as per project needs &

  • Age Limit: 28 years as on 10th August 2024<\/li>
  • Stipend (JRF): Rs.37, 000\/- p.m. plus admissible HRA<\/li>
  • Tenure: 04 years (as followed in DST norms)<\/li>
  • For General and OBC Category: Minimum 55% aggregate mark in the qualifying examination is
    essential.<\/li>

    How To Apply :-<\/strong><\/p>

    • Applications along with supporting documents will be received in on-line mode only. No hard copies are to be submitted.<\/li>
    • The application portal will be hosted on IITM website at the following link https:\/\/www.tropmet.res.in\/Careers . The portal shall be active from 08.07.2024 (1700 hrs) to
      10.08.2024 (1700 hrs).<\/li>
    • Upon completing application, each applicant would receive an on-line Application ID, which should be carefully preserved for future reference and correspondence. Active and valid Email ID and Mobile Number of the applicant are compulsory in the application. Any request for change of e-mail id will not be entertained.<\/li>
    • Incomplete applications and applications not in conformity with the requirements indicated in this advertisement will not be considered for further processing. While applying, candidates need to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria and other requirements, and that the particulars furnished by them are correct in all respects.<\/li>
